Procedures requiring anesthesia will be provided by Lake Region Healthcare’s certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs). Our CRNAs are advanced practice registered nurses with specialized graduate level education in anesthesiology. They safely provide anesthesia in many different hospital settings. Types of anesthesia may include general, regional (nerve blocks) and sedation techniques.
In addition to operating room responsibilities, the CRNAs provide 24 hour coverage for labor and delivery and the emergency department and participate in the trauma team. CRNAs at Lake Region Healthcare work collaboratively with your medical provider to ensure the anesthesia chosen for each patient provides the most effective pain relief and the fastest possible recovery.
With over 150 years of combined experience, you can be confident the CRNAs at Lake Region Healthcare will stay with you for the entire procedure, constantly monitoring and individually modifying your anesthetic to ensure maximum safety and comfort.
